If anyone out there can come up with a chore that blows ass more than trying to work with the aluminum trim on early silverface Fenders, I'd like to know what it is.
I had a scrap of double-blue-thread cloth from a speaker cab resto that had enough good fabric in it to re-grille my '67 Bandmaster and '68 Bassman heads. Cloth looked great, everything goin' smooth, and then you

Seriously, working with this shit has got to be banned by the Geneva Convention so it's not used as POW torture, now my otherwise great looking grille job on the Bandmaster looks like a freakin' chimp did it, can't decide if I should trash the trim altogether or what.
