You should always B sharp, never B flat, and just B natural.

Shielding or lead dress is most likely, but since you JUST bought it, I'd be taking it up with whoever sold it. Don't want to go poking around just yet if it's going to invalidate any warranty.

Possibly. I know nothing about the Brunetti circuit so it might be something as simple as oscillation, depending on how much gain is on tap.

Is the amp under warranty?

You might just want to try different pre-amp tubes first, to rule them out as a potential problem.

please contact Brunetti via email,he will answer personally to any question.
The squealing with gain and boost maxed is typical of Marshall, being handwired i can think of some wiring off place or a defective tube, but his amps are built around chinese preamp tubes...

Yngve wrote:Just bought a Brunetti Mercury 100 watt Hand Wired Amp, getting some nice cleans and nice distortion but as l dial up beyond 80% gain it starts to squeal with the boost on, if off it doesn't do it. I have done a re tube and still it squeals no matter 5 guitars l have. Pretty annoying as this amp is suppose to be their top notch amp. My Bogner Ubershall Twin Jet plus VHT Ultra Lead as dead quiet. Can someone pin point what l can do to test if its either shielding, wiring or a cap problem.

If you need more detail images please let me know, its still squealing??? If any one can help to iron out the problem what a fantastic Easter it would be :) :)
i don't see any snubber cap on the plate resistors.
to me this means that with high gain settings on a Marshall style pre you get a lot of high freq oscillations.
my choice would be adding a 250/500 pF ceramic cap on the 2nd or 3rd stage plate or both,it all depends on how much highs you can remove without compromising the original tone.
I'd shoot an email to mr Brunetti before attempting any mod...
