pulling tubes from a Peavey classic 50 power amp?

I burned out one of my EL84s, so before I have to buy a new set of 8, I thought I'd try the old half power trick by pulling tubes. My only problem is that I'm not sure which ones to pull? I've included a pic to show the layout ... are the tubes grouped top and bottom, or left and right?

I'm also assuming that I'll have to switch the impedence from 16ohm to 8ohm?

:D

It's actually a great sounding power amp, but I have to admit that the circuit board mounted tubes seem pretty flimsy.

Anyways, I think I answered part of my own question. I know you can remove the outside or inside set of tubes. I removed the outside tubes because it should work regardless of how the tubes are organized.
