Providence Chrono Delay or Hardwire DL-8

Anyone compared the Chrono to the DL-8? Wich one would you choose? Don't need modulation or any other effect just the best sounding delay between this two. Thanks for reading

These are both digital delays, so depends on how they are made. If you want a grate result from digital stuff the conversion from analog to digital has to be very good. 24bit/96Khz for a delay is a good thing. Than comes an analog part. There are analog inputs, gain stages, mixers, filters... Some times even more than in simple BBD delay :) So if all these "analog things" are SMD type and both units use same encoding rate, there wont be much of a difference, just more options to offer (The Providence).
- By the way... If you are going to use it as a delay only and in the FX loop, try ZOOM effects. Richie Kotzen had very god results from it... -
Back to 2 pedals... For higher sampling rate, a better chip (DAC) must be used, and more power consumption. So, if Chrono Delay consumes more power than DL-8, I believe it uses a better chip...
That is a theory of course, but that's how things works.
Look at the PCB of these pedals, read description...
