Thats very pricey indeed, way beyond my budget just for a reverb.

I am looking at possible options kit wise but I haven't really found anything apart from a kit by weber that attaches to a cab side walls. I was thinking about possibly getting a small head to put it in instead.

Do digital reverbs really sound that bad in front on the amp? I am not really keen on adding an FX loop.

I've tried my BYOC delay aswell and it doesn't really do it for me.

I think so. Since the reverb is distorted along with the guitar, it sounds even more diffuse. Works for cleans, but it

I didn't think of it like that, I guess the amp would distort the reverb as you say.

I was reading however that the 63 fender reverb reissue stand alone sounds better in front of the amp as opposed to an effects loop, which got me thinking about finding a kit that is similar.

I was just reading the line6 support forum and apprently they recommend having it in front of the amp as opposed to the effects loop.

"I'd recommend running the pedal in front of your amp. It's an instrument level pedal so you may want to avoid running it through the effects loop."

really confused now.

In front of a clean amp it works OK. So a chain that goes OD/Fuzz ->Reverb -> clean amp can sound OK. But with amp distortion it sounds bad..

Eric Johnson used to run all his effects in front of his amps, and he sounds OK....

Yes I got it yesterday, so far I have only tried it through the amp clean, I haven't had a change to crank it up. But it sounds GREAT. much better reverb than in my peavey, you can get it very splashy and it pretty much nails the peter green reverb.

I have a feeling it wont sound great when dimed, but maybe if I keep the output reverb level low and just have a hint of reverb it might be useable.

It pops pretty loud when its engaged though but I guess being true bypass with this kind of effect thats understandable

The solemate is REALLY good. I have been playing it for a while now and its just fantastic. I still haven't tried it through a cranked amp, I need to wait til people are out of the house but at the moment I don't even care. For clean it absolutely rocks.

You can get it so deep and splashy with the output and dwell all the way up or nice and subtle or everything in between. Playing with the dwell and output with even minor adjustments makes a big difference and there are fantastic settings everywhere.

It absolutely kills the reverb in my peavey and I used to think that was good.

Its a keeper whether it works with dirty settings or not in my book.

marT, thanks for the update, back in August.

I heard your YouTube clips utilizing the Soulmate, and it does indeed sound great. I just wanted to ask if you are you 100% happy with it? Any issues when the amp is cranked?
