that's right. mine sounds a lot like david gilmou on an island, or free bird . lot of sustain, very creamy. i'm very happy i did this one. now i'll tweak it to explore her possibilitys.

Just ordered a JBF3 earlier this week.
You're right ! It should look waaaay better on my Pedalboard that my JH Fuzz  Besides, they should of made the Jimi one purple, right?

Although I just ordered the JBF3 some might hold off to purchase the new
EJ Fuzz...

Do you guys think Dunlop will be using a BC183 for the EJ ?

BTW haw's that circuit soundin' there, Xplorer ?

I have the Blue JH Fuzz Face it sounds awesome if you adjust the voltage lower on Q2 :jimi: and it also looks just like a real '69

The JH Fuzz doesn't really have BC108C in it they are clones with about the same gain and there are trim pots under the board to adjust the voltage to them.

is Q2 the capacitator ???
how many volts i must turn down the voltage on Q2? is there under the circuit board a trimmer?

hi, yes there should be two little trimmers. Q2 is a transistor, that works on the gain. try to manage the trimmer until it sounds the best to you, that's it.

Just received my JBF3 ! (man, that was a long wait...) and going to rehearsal tonight to give it a spin.
From my understanding Smokin' Joe & George Tripps of Way Huge effects worked on this dialing it in for Humbuckers.
Joe mentions in one of his vid's or gear rig interview's somewhere about getting sloppy seconds from EJ that this was presented to Eric first and he passed on it.
Anyway, need a recommendation (other than noodling) for a vid demo (Zoom Q3HD), maybe part of a Jimi or Trower or ?
I'm tweaking in the new Battleship pedalboard and new Metro-build so it would be a good time. (Strat w/'69's, Les Paul w/Throbacks', FrankenStrat w/DSD ?)
( I know it should go before the wah if I want the wah to work efficiently but, I have mine after the wah. It's just the way I like it in my chain and doesn't mean I have to use the wah while the fuzz is on...)

Just seen the latest PG Mag gear interview with YJM. Rebecca asks Yngwie about the fuzz face next to his pedalboard and why it's not plugged in...
Yngwie's answer something like: "Yeah, I don't use it... It just looks cool, like a land mine..." :palm:

Mine sounds best with Q2 at 5.19 Volts :jimi: Q2 is the 2nd Transistor, yes 2 trim pots under the board
