Hardwire Reverb Pedal - what does the tail switch do?

Post by bman5150 » Sun Apr 22, 2012 10:13 am

I've read the manual and still don't understand exactly what it does. It says the verb still works after you bypass the pedal??? I'm confused..please help.

FYI, I don't own this yet. Currently shopping for a good plate verb pedal for less than $200. The Hardwire and TC HOF are on my list.

If you run it as true bypass, the reverb will stop when you turn the pedal off. With the "Tail" switch engaged the reverb will continue, spill over after you turn it off, which sounds more natural.

So, more of a "hard cut-off" of the effect verses a "fade" when switched off, right? I guess that could be useful when transitioning from a solo back to rhythm guitar. Any other situations when you'd want to have if fade off?

Thank you!
