Time passed, Opinions on the ULTIMATE ATTENUATOR

Post by needtopractice » Tue Aug 06, 2013 9:58 pm

JUst picked up my first attenuator, the ultimate attenuator. Got what I think was a good deal and have heard good things about it so I decided to try one. What are the opinions nowa'days on this unit?
Also is it safe? I worry simply because of the fixed ohm feature.
Thanks guys,
Jim.

+ 1 I should be getting mine tomorrow, it's one of the first one's without a level line out.

Scored one on eBay for 150 cause guy thought it was broken. There is a safty reset feature in the unit and it works as new. I thought it was neat but still imho tired of it and prefer the regular master after the treble pot best. To retain real tone you could knock off a few db's but more that that just chokes out everything. I guess they all do so its a tool which needs to be taught to use. Sold it after 6mo.

I keep on calling Mark at UA, he agreed to tell me the components I need to install a level line out, now he ignores me as if i'm going to make money of his AU or steal an idea. :palm:
