Shin-Ei ME-7 Wah-Hurricane-Siren-Surf-Volume Pedal

I picked up a 1970's(?) Japan-made Shin-Ei ME-7 (ME-8?) Wah-Hurricane-Siren-Surf-Volume Pedal for $25 at a local pawn shop. As reviewed in numerous web articles, it "wah"s backward in pedal travel, and it's kooky Hurricane-Surf-Volume functions are unremarkable, but it must have a decent inductor in it or something, because when it's on and set for Wah function, all my Strat guitars sound incredible and classic in tone, timbre and attack, like my old italian Vox wah used to. Though not very useable except as a novelty, the siren sounds exactly like an old tornado horn. It winds up slowly and stays up until you press the button, then it drops WAY back down- very square-wave-y at the bottom, almost synth-like. The wah and siren sounds great with some delay behind it... A bunch of pics and gutshots at:
