lets talk of vintage Mullard ECC83/12AX7 I61 type B code

...how many love them?? for me these tubes are the secret for JTMs, I always found Bass control impossible to use with almost 99% of tubes out there than I got a pair of original Mullards 12ax7 I61 B code and everything changed: these tubes are warm but very detailed and clear, a bit less gain than nowadays ones (I was using MArshall/JJs as they fit good for JTMs) but I love these tubes
do any of you guys found a comparable modern replacement??? these tubes cost a fortune damn it..

I have tried i61's and i63's and can honestly say I don't hear or feel much difference between the two. The i63 are less expensive. There is also an f92 Mullard short plate made in the late 50's which looks nearly identical to the i61 and i63.

Got a dozen of Mullards, nine I63s and three I61s...the I61s and the three I63s (these are 12AX7As IEC labeled) are my favorite for different reasons of course... ;)
