When pushing "everything on 10" every single tube is important, pre and poweramp

I do not agree with him that you should change the PI tube every time you change power tubes. Yes it is true that the PI is overdriving but they simply do not run as hot and work as hard as your power tubes do. I have tested many PI tubes and other preamp tubes in my amps after several cycles of power tube changes and they still test strong.

the Phase inverter being the most important tube in your amp.
He mention's some general things, but sounds more from his personal point of view more thanMyles S. Rose wrote:"...What do I like?"... // ...."Not from my personal taste..."

Re: Phase Inverter Tube
I threw a vintage 5751 in my PI and it seemed to tighten things up a bit and bring some clarity to the tone. If that makes any sense.
