El-34 rattle? and some other questions

I've experienced it with KT-66s in a combo, but there is a mechanic rattle coming from set of NOS RFTs in my JMP50 1x12 combo. Has anyone experienced this with EL-34s?
Also, what seems to be the consensus on current production EL-34s? Anything decent on the market? I had some JJs and they were pretty good. My RFTs sound fantastic but I don't want to spend that kinda bread if they are just gonna rattle around in a combo.
What kind of current production tubes is George using these days?
