I've got 2x12 Fender cab (4ohm) with an 8ohm Oxford and an 8ohm Jensen.

I'm thinking of swapping the Oxford with something else just for fun but I'm not sure what will happen if I use a 16ohm speaker with the other 8ohm speaker. What does that equal? I know that a Bassman can handle a mismatch to some degree but I don't want to go too overboard!

5.3333333 (etc.) ohms in parallel, 24 ohms in series. Obviously the series connection is out, but the parallel should be OK for the average Fender!!

It won't mess up the sound at all, will it?

Here is a cool speaker calculator that you can download and use.
MS Excel Spreadsheet file. VERY HELPFULL stuff.
