hello. i am getting ready to get some speakers for a 4x12 cab, still not sure what i want yet.
I didnt realize you had to break in speakers, I dont really understand the variarc thing. I dont play in a band and dont have any intentions of that at the moment. I am a closet player that maybe once a week gets to really open it up. is breaking them in a critical thing for what i do? or is it more of break it in how your gonna drive it attitude?
thanks
jim

Frankly, a good speaker is a good speaker....breaking it in will sweeten it even more but it's still gotta be something you like up front.
Weber will break in speakers for you if I'm not mistaken. Avatar also has a line of "Hellatone" speakers, which are Celestions that Dave has broken in for something like 15 hours. (The Hellatone label peels right off to reveal the Celestion label underneath!!)
