Nice collection of cabs btw :D

I'm no expert but I've never seen so many date scribbles in cab? I've had Ron's sig but no dates and have seen a few of Jim's with no dates?

Looks like you've got reissue speakers in there plus the original cheese head and washer have gone along with the original wiring but I suppose this is just cork sniffing, the main thing is do they deliver the tone? :)

These are not reissue speakers inside. They're 2 20w greenbacks and 2 25w greenbacks from 69-72.

As for the signatures- NO Idea lol...

The stamping on that frame in your picture is of a reissue T1221 Celestion

i hope you havent paid over the odds for these cabs.

i havent seen pencil markings like that inside a cab before. my guess is that a previous owner put them there. i once found the entire lyrics to nirvanas 'smells like teen spirit' written inside a marshall cab. i doubt it was jim marshall that wrote it.

Hope not but maybe we can help........................

The baffle has definitely been out as the screws have been replaced flathead slotted countersunk. The originals (prior to change over to chequerboard in '71) were slightly domed pozidrives and countersunk, form 71 they were still pozidrive just with flat head. If the cab has been damp the screw heads chew up or even snap, especially at the bottom. The speaker screws are all new as well (originals are cheesehead 2BA with black internal lockwasher.

I suggest you show pictures of the speakers, cone codes and overall picture of inside of cabs. BaronGreenback will be able to give you the lowdown. I have a pretty good idea of what is and what should never be (where have I heard that line before? :P )

A 67-68 cab should look like this with bottom strip, big sound post :

a 69-70 like this, bottom baffle corner fillets and big sound post:
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/ne ... G_0158.jpg
post 1972 like this, no bottom bracing and smaller sound post:

Sorry the direct [img] links will not work, all my pics are wider than 722 pixels, this forum has a limit for past couple of years :(

3k is very good imo as long as the other two cabs are all pulsonic coned pre rolas and original construction.
I think you should contact the seller if the check cab is all reissues though.
It's worth considering if the check cab has been made to look old and has been built using the right materials that you'd pay nearly $700 for a new replica!

Might be worth posting internal pics of the other two cabs?

That cab looks correct for late 67/early 68 - must be close to pinstripe crossover. 8)

Need cone codes and stampings on frames to give better date.

If that cab is correct you will already be on to good deal terms with 3 cabs

If you can show pics of the handles, those would be very helpful in dating them. As well as the interior shots & speaker pics. They were using different handles from 67 - mid 68, thinner at the sides.
