Goodmans speaker identification

Post by huntlymckay » Sun Jun 17, 2012 9:01 am

Hello,
New to this forum, hope I am posting in the correct place... :)
I have 2 Goodman speakers that I am planning to build into a 2x12 cabinet as a project, but don't know what type they are. Hopefully someone out there can help identify them...
I got them 20 years ago from a guy in a scottish folk band who said he had them for years.
One has a Goodmans Industries Ltd sticker on it, the other has 'from london june 1954' etched on it (which I have no reason to doubt but doesn't look like an etching that would have been put on during manufacture)...
There are no serial numbers on them that I can see - just 'made in england' stamped on the edge.
They also have different cones - one has an 'extra central cone'.
Resistance (with no load - just straight resistance measurement) is 13.8 ohms

I've also attached photo of one of the 12x8"oval ones - serial numbers on all are 13837 30/72, 539 on the cone. (I guess 30th week of 1972? I can't find reference to 13837 anywhere).
Resistance with no load is 4.8 ohms.

Thanks very much in advance for help.
