I can never get my head around the cosmetics on mid - late 70's cabs. large check and no piping channels in 77? There seems to be no rules.

I know they used white piping instead of gold for a short time in 76, but usually with the small check or black grill. US had different specs to UK too.

I know the Blackbacks are later on, but I thought 73 was Cream or Greyback The 2nd listing said 2 were Greenbacks

usually green for most of 73, then grey for the last few months in 73, August-ish onwards.

Back in '91 when I didn't know squat, I sold a couple cabs similar to these to a guy in KC for $500 for the pair, and thought I was getting a great deal... He was in a band called "Champion" and said he had (18) cabs, and would strip them all to put white tolex on them... I think they had black, grey and greenbacks if I remember right (many brain cells ago... )

The seller said he had 22 cabs and sent me pictures of a bunch of them. I wouldn't be surprised if it was him.
