Dating my Marshall 1982A Cabinet

I bought a rickety old 1982A cabinet for a project and while it's not of the utmost importance, I'm trying to date it. The owner listed it as a 1972. It's checkerboard cab, so it's a 1972 at the oldest. What I need to know, is when did the label tags change from this:

The last picture is the same type of tag on my 78' 1960A cabinet.

The really small white tag is 60's, early 70/71. That bigger black and white tag is 72-77, I believe. And the silver tag is definitely late 70's, probably 77-82.
If the speakers are original to the cab, they'll be the best way to date it properly. I realize that's probably a long shot, but it would be worth a look if you really want to know.
You'll need the Txxxx # and the alpha numeric date code off the speaker frames to do this.

Someone told me that they started putting the plastic cab corners on the cabinets in late 72. Does that sound right? Mine doesn't have the corners, nor does it have any holes where they may have been.

Yes, late 72 sounds about right if you never had plastic corners.

Thanks Jim. I have two 1972 G12m 75hz greenbacks that have been reconed with Mueller cones in the 80s and sound really stiff. Any suggestions for a Pulsonic type recone?

Well, I have my own tweaked versions of that cone I use in the M75-PVC, and slightly darker one used in the regular M75. Just depends what you're looking for. The M75-PVC 65w would be way to get yours reconed, IMO.
