Sometimes you just have to play some guitar....

Post by VelvetGeorge » Fri Sep 14, 2007 4:38 pm

It's been a crazy week, as usual. So we wheeled out Clark's new 4-12 loaded with Alnico Blues, set my JTM 45 build on it and plugged in the VOS 56 LP.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSmVcxG6SGA

Amp settings:

High Treble 7.5
Treble 4
Middle 6
Bass 2
Presence 4

GEC and Mullard tubes. This is the 45 I had at the NY amp show. I'll take it out to LA next month as well.
We'll bring it down to the LP forum jam on the 14th too.

The VOS 56 is dead mint and has P90's. Devilishly good P90's. This guitar was traded in towards an amp and I've been trying to find a way to hold on to it.

Anyway, here's to spending 5 minutes just playing guitar once in a while.

I think I was there too! Thanks again, myfoot.

Great tone, but who's that skinny guy playing? :P

After playing a 45 today, I really want one. Big surprise, oh well... I still like my 100w but the 45 has a GREAT clean tone and a different overdrive feel. Very "sweet" sounding.

Back to the schematic page :?
When I play on weekends, I see 20 year olds who probably play rap in their
cars, but their girlfriends dance to Mustang Sally.

Great clip George, the JTM 45 is so smooth and rich sounding, it's like liquid gold!!
Just like the best 45's I've ever heard, and the way it just drifts into rich harmonic feedback, shows the artistry of the tone/build.
Great Clip as they say, and love to see a P90 Goldtop..nice. :D :D

Nice :D
It's fun to see some P-90 and alnico blue action for once! How do them Blue's compress when the amp is cranked?

Like angels singing. This could really be desert island amp and cab. It covers so many tones. From tweeds to Marshalls.

Yup, there's just something about those 15 watt alnico speakers with the right amp that does it.

What tubes are in that JTM45 EL34 or KT66?

What a great sounding amp.
