Brian, Greg, Vic and I...JTM 45 Round-up!

Post by VelvetGeorge » Tue Apr 21, 2009 6:10 pm

We made the cover of Premiere Guitar's May issue! Congrats Bros!

Big, big thanks to Steve O. for including Metro in this article. It's an honor to be thought of as in the same league as the other builders.

Enjoy!

That was a great read, congrats George!
Have read a lot of Steve O's comments at the PP over the past several years, and he seems like a really down to earth guy with a lot of integrity.

Congratulations, George! Great review you got:

"Of all the amps in our roundup this sounded most like our ´65-frighteningly close!" 8)

It would have been great if a version with an RS OT was included in the test....

And I guess the cat is out of the bag with the GPM-series..

Yep, great read! Liked how they said blindfolded they couldn't tell your kit amp from your own build :D

It's an honor for me as well George and yes, it's a shame how they man handled my amp.

Wow, what a great article. The reality is there need to be more articles like this out there for the amp buying public, so they know what great workmanship and tone they are missing out on! Awesome job, guys! IMO definitely something to be proud of... and deservedly so.

That was really a great article.
Very very cool. Good to see the good guys get some good press.

Premier really does a good job with that. Much better than the other rags.

The article is what inspired me to build my own amp. I've built pedals before and my job is electronic in nature. But, I'll have to admit, I don't really understand the exact function of each component. That's the only part that keeps me on edge. But, I'm determined to not only asssemble a great amp; but, I will also learn what the function of the components is.

George - I wonder how much business that article sent you? I'll have to admit it hooked me like a fish!

George,
That article and their opinion of your JTM45 played a large part in my decision to buy your amp over many other options. Just finished building your 45 this week. Will be biasing it when I get back into town and then using for a 5 set gig this weekend. ES335>Metro JTM45>Avatar 2xG12-65's! Can't wait to show off my new baby!
