am i just plain stupid,or all of the jtm 45`s i saw,there`s one electro cap not shown in the schematics?
there`s a double 32 mfd,in the filtering,and then a double 16mfd for the preamp stage.
what`s that cap,in the side of the chassis doing?.

The Sprague on the board is a single 16uF.
The one on the side of the chassis is a double 16uF, but you only use one side of that can, unless you want the extra filtering and hook both up. I'm assuming that no one is producing a single 16uF cap to mount on the side of the chassis like that, so the dual is all that is available.

You actually see a lot of clones being build without the 16u on the board.
Both sides of the 16+16u cap on top are used in that case.
