White JTM45 block logo clone

Post by BrianH » Tue Feb 28, 2012 8:45 pm

I've been obsessed with the early white JTM45s so I decided to make one. It started with a Metroamp chassis I polished the texture out of, transformers, and front panel. Now has custom back panel, Clapton knobs, Swanson-made headcab covered in leathercloth from the UK, Northcoast thin piping, etc. I posted pics of the inside quite a while back, so only throwing in one of those.

Sorry about the crummy pics, lighting was poor.

The attention to detail is very nicely done.

FWIW however, the Ch1 mix resistor bypass cap, tone stack cap, and PI cap are silver mica (R.S.) in the originals. Also, the Ch1 volume pot should have a 100pF bypass cap.
