Metro JTM45 weird noise ?

Post by louis » Mon Jul 10, 2017 11:05 am

Hi guy's !
Bought a Metro JTM45 from a member who was awesome btw ,
took it to a tech to have a ppimv intalled and just got it back but it makes
an awkward electrifying peak kind of sound randomly so listen till the end
so you can hear,...........just don't know what is causing this and didn't hear it
at the tech's place cause his shop is in his garage so the noise from the street
stopped us from hearing this.

Tx

IME, which is not immense, that sounds like a wire routing problem or a bad part (pot/cap/resistor). Good luck.

Thank you Sir !!

You are spot on !!

When the tech gave me the amp back ,....we plugged in my 4x12 with Pre Rolas and a good cable that I
brought with me but when I got home ,I plugged the head in a 4x12 loaded with cast frame Fanes
and a different cable so he said to try it with the same setup cause I might have a bad cable he told me which
I did and gone is the noise !!...........very happy !! :D
I suspect the the fanes might not be wired correctly also so I'll check further.
