Here's where I documented most of of this mod http://www.twistyneck.net/cm.html. The ohmages I built into my test bed are notated there.
The resistors I used were wirewound chassis mount Arcol resistors. I think I used either or both 100 or 150 watt resistors, with the ohmage values I specified at the link above. If you go to Mouser's site, and search for Arcol Resistors chassis mount, you can get to a selector where you can narrow down choices.
http://www.mouser.com/Arcol/Passive-Com ... 7wZ1z0juow This link may or may not work.
If you go with chassis mount, you'll need to mount them to a big hunk of aluminum with heat sink crème to dissipate the heat.

Re: C*rr*m Mod?
Thanks Twisty, I will no doubt go with the Arcol's, and I have already acquired a nice finned aluminum heat sink and thermal paste.
The big red stick resistor looked interesting, maybe I'll try it also!

Your levity is good. It relieves tension and the fear of death.

Re: C*rr*m Mod?
Go for it!
Also rather than C*rr*m's Mod, try running the head dimed between 60 to 79 volts. stick a 6band eq in front as well and A/B it.
you'll probably like it.

WOW, yeah this works great! I used this 3K-100Watt resistor on my 50 watt. Sounds great!
