Remember those Mesa ads with him in them? "If their tone is awesome and yours sounds like a well-executed fart who do you think is gonna get the gig?" C'mon Mike -- have you HEARD that god-awful bass "solo" you do?

The guy with either a REAL Marshall or a Metro Plexi.

Sorry but Mesas DO sound like a well executed fart. Come on Randall Smith...you are nowhere close to being the tone god you think you are and claim to be.

A lucky theif if you will...

Mike's bass playing is perfect for evh but the bass is super back seat in that band to the point where its rediculous for the dude to be talkin any kind of smack. What was he using back then on vh1? SVT?

Has anyone noticed that now there is a specific 'EVH board', there's been a lot more posts on the subject? I think thats great for those people seeking to get this tone, I guess people are no longer in fear of getting flamed on other sections for "obsessing over the EVH tone" <- if people want to make their amp sound like that, why shouldn't they?

And I do agree...however, it's better to have them all in one section than spread out all over the board. That was the main problem I had with the whole EVH thing.

George has a good thing going by adding the EVH section.
