I bought both the PT and OT from Phil at Heyboer.

The OT is the "Metro" spec 784-139.

He was out of the laydown Metro spec 1202-118 PT. So, he sent me the Rocket Retro spec 1202-118 (HTS-10417). It is the same as the Metro 1202-118 except primary is also export, 50/60 Hz multi tap. He said to use the black & black/white for US 120v.

Thoughts?

Do I put the masking tape on clamp or filter caps?

Are your pics reversed? I've never seen a "lefty" chassis before.

Do you have a spacer or washer between the PT and chassis?

Chassis is the 50 watt version from Valvestorm.

So far everything is going in as detailed in Metro manual minus the fact the ARS filter cans are too loose for clamps. That and I broke off one of the bolts when putting on one of the pre-amp sockets. I tightened the nut too tight, and the bolt snapped. Luckily that was an easy fix, just put on a new bolt.

Take 'r eazy there Hurc. You'll need lefty clamps as vanhalen5150 spotted. heh
If those are not available, I would invest $10 more and purchase a new set. The clamps also work as a heat dissipator. For a clean & neat install that also keeps cosmetic appeal, cut off the tabs on the new set until you have made a "inner diameter" ring or sleeve (like a washer or bushing). You should have just the right amount of slack to make up the difference on those slippery ARS rascals.
