Hmm. The switch I have only has 6 little solder posts. Not 9 like that diagram. Will this not work even if it's not "True Bypass"? I can change it to the True Bypass later if I decide I really like it. My Epos-3 pre-amp build uses the same switch and I'm perfectly happy with it. Can we make it work? 8)

The right (3) posts in the diagram are for the LED. You can leave that out. Are you using a footswitch, or just a DPDT toggle?

Here's a different way to wire it... input on the left, output on the right, 6band input top left, 6band input top right.
The bottom two lugs on the switch are junpered, but you cannot really see it because a wire is in the way

It's a stomp button. I have an LED on the other one so maybe LED can work?

In that case, tie the two input wires, that are attached to the left side of the switch, together and hook them to the bottom center. Essentially eliminating the left side of the switch, using the center to switch the output only, and leaving the right side free to drive the LED.

So, back to the "did Ed use the MXR 6 band or not in the studio" discussion, here is a picture from the Zloz book. Right above (or to the left since the picture is sideways) of the #2 pedal. RIght by the Big Mac styrofoam container.

I thought was just a staged photo when they pulled all the gear from tour truck.

If you were gonna stage a photo, would you put all that stuff...echoplex, Schaffer thingy, etc and hook it up and mic amps and drums. I bet it was staged in the sense of trash, etc. and having everyone pretend to sing and play. I dunno

Fun to argue about though...

I'm sure I read that Zloz staged that photo. To what extent I don't know. I dont think you'd never mic a cab that close to cymbals or a snare drum. At least from a recording sense you wouldn't.

I used to think the same thing - but have since made recordings my self in similar setups and it's actually totally plausible:

They may have just staged DLR's mic out there in the middle of that - shirley he would have been in an iso room even for scratch vocals.

hold on - let me listen to it again... yeah yer right!! oh - except right there... and there... it's not fun until you fall down. bliditty bliditty blip - bliditty bliditty blip - [stumble :peace: ] :D this was recorded in a basement with a simple mic setup on the drums and the guitar right there next to it. so, i can imagine that in a nice performance room with real acoustics, you could go at it like that and get something like what you hear on VH II. with vocals iso'd of course. just saying that MAYBE this is not a total zlozower setup so you can't discount anything you see laying around based on that.
