Hi
It is possible to drive with this DI-out some devices with low input impedance (10-20 K) ?
I want try to slave my 1959 in 2100 power amp section and Intend to put digital delays between amps. But my devices have 10-20 K impedance analog inputs. Does it works ?
Thanks

Image

It is OK to match 10 K input analog on 250 K line ? or I missunderstand some thing ?
Why secondary windings is put on ground of the amp and is not elevated to keep isolation ?
I saw this transformer have two secondary sections. Why must be used both ? If it used just one have a bigger ratio transformer and a smaller impedance output and suit better any kind of devices...I think...

Thanks

for home practice, one of those EH Caliber 22 power amp stompboxes might work pretty well as a 'reamping' poweramp - anyone tried this?

found it pretty cool, not sure how it would work with a plexi as a slave amp?

Gotta read all of this thread!

Then do a search for "exibit a"! (Yeah spelled like that!)!

Then do "calling rockstah"!

And then....

I wondered about those as well. 22 watts. You could stick one of those anywhere.

I think any fx loop schem would suffice in that area. Its the "return" side thats direct to the power section. Any amp that has a series fx loop can be used as a power amp this way....just send signal into its return.
Is this what you mean???
The volume can be controlled by the device feeding it or on the master of the amp depending how its set up in the circuit(the loop)

Here is the drawing mark published some time back:
http://forum.metroamp.com/viewtopic.php ... 8&start=21

You and up with no tone stack, so you have to use the presence knob to adjust the amount of sizzle. The cathode resistor pair shown (1.5k/25uf) are the standard fender 1st stage value you can adjust or omit the cap, or adjust the resistor. I have used just a 2.7k(no cap) here.

Which one are you asking about, the box of resistors or the one with the fans and transformer?

I do not recall anyone attempting the one with the transformer. Dave Friedman (who has an original specimen) had commented that the transformer is of specs no longer available. He also had talked about eventually ordering a custom batch, but that never came to boot (yet).

How does slaving sound compared to using an attenuator and why does it sound different (besides the coloration added by the power amp) ?
