Okay, I built the load box that Ossie described on YouTube. It’s a little messy until I get the 5 hole terminal strip. It seems to work well although I’m waiting until I get some more info on a couple things. I used four 100w 100r resistors, 250k pot and a Jensen JT 10KB-D transformer. It sounds good, just want to make sure I’m doing it right.
I’m using it as a load for one Marshall 2204 and re amping into another 2204. It seems to sound best if I’m using the loaded Marshall with the high input while the Marshall getting the signal is in the low channel. So my questions are:
How is the potentiometer supposed to be used?
Is there anything I should be careful of so the only thing I damage I might do are tubes?
Sorry for the stupid questions. I’m just trying to get a sound without od pedals. And even though I don’t own a plexi, I want to get as close to that kind of plexi cranked gain as I can. Thanks for any help with this.
