How about a blue Xicon 0.0022 uf 1000v coupling cap? Is it as good as the red one? I am about to get some blue ones by mail soon.

I have the first Mod5 Mark ever built for a customer. He used Mustards in mine.

You can try it, but the person who recommended Mark use that red one in that spot was/is highly respected and well known in the boutique amplifier business. For that reason alone, I’ve always wanted to try that, but just never got around to it.

That being said, It’s hard to imagine there being much difference, but a bunch of little things add up.
