Metro-Plex does respectable brown sound

I posted this clip a while back of the Metro-Plex. While testing it I thought it had a convincing EVH tone happening. Especially for Les Paul and my hands!

Is this a more gainy version of your typical circuit?

Thanks! New design I did. Three gain stages and a master volume, voiced to sound like my '68 half stack.

I can't believe how well the Zoom sounds about 15" in front of the cab. I should have been doing that all along!

George, that does sound really good. Can you give us an idea of about how loud the amp was when you were recording ?
It seems the gain structure is about spot on to me ! It is always great to hear your new projects.

The master was around 4, so pretty loud. I spent many hours on gain staging, working out how the second and third stages clip specifically.
