My NOS mustard sounds very warm, the Mallory was incredibly bright and sterile, and the Jupiter was in between but closer to the mustard. It was an interesting test and I would like to do more like it when I have the chance. I have enough Jupiters for a JTM45 or JMP50 build.

Well I am unaware of new mustards? My understanding is that there are NOS Mustards; which means they have been sitting in a box unused for 40 years. Which means they have been exposed to oxygen and whatever for 40 years. I don't trust old electronics that have been drying out for 30-40 years. Tubes are another story... electronics like caps and resistors... nah! I don't trust them. Its old regardless of being used or not. I would rather buy something new that I know will be reliable.
What! Thats blasphemy round these parts! Lol jk. All my amp parts are no more than 5 years old. Except for a bright cap. And my amp :hairband:

Same here. The bright cap is the only thing that I have that is vintage. Well; I have preamp tubes that are older. But everything else is new within the last 5-10 years.

New Sozo (made in USA?) or old Sozo NexGen renamed Synergy Royal Mustards (still made in USA - by Sprague?). Who's going to take the Pepsi challenge?
