There is a lot of gain to begin with so it's hard to hear more of it with the tone lifted. Seems to feedback a little easier (which is an obvious clue) but tone wise, I think I like the sound with it lifted better. Do you have any PAF range PU's you could demo? :thumbsup:

A while back, I did a very similar foot switchable thing lifting the NFB loop, using one of the speaker jacks. Added a little more gain and made it feel a little slippery and greasy, so to speak. Was pretty cool but I've since put it back. Stock always finds its way back to me. 8)
