Which Kit for Ritchie Blackmore Deep Purple or Rainbow Tone?

Post by Panzersonor » Fri Jun 19, 2009 11:36 pm

Hello, everyone! I am looking to buy a kit, and have Metro assemble for me, but before I do, I wanted to ask a few questions:

If I could bottle Blackmore's live tone from Deep Purple "Live and Rare" or Rainbow "On Stage", I'd be a happy man. Knowing he used Marshall Majors back then, I am looking for the closest thing to his sound, in a 100 watt kit. Bass or Lead?

I play a Malmsteen Sig Strat, with the stock Dimarzio's, and a Keeley Blues driver for the extra "push".

What are your thoughts? I really appreciate any feedback anyone can give!

I'd go for super bass. But why not specify enough components to cover both specs. It's hardly gonna put a dent in your wallet for a few extra caps, and it's not difficult to switch between the two.
So I like purple, okay!!!!!!

83.7% of all statistics are made up on the spot!

Since money may be not an object the expensive yet high quality both in components and construction BSM pedals from Germany "Nail" the RB tones with anything from an AC30 to a Marshall Major, the 12000 is probably the best bet out of the Metro arsenal for what you are looking for, these pedals can dial in many era's of Ritchie's tone, including the Aiwa reel to reel pre-amped tone... :D :D
