plz forgive my ignorance but where are u guys using those 0.05uF caps & what value are u substituting it for? I'm new to all this and when I look at the 45/100 BOM I can't seem to find that particular value........

It goes on the power board, between the mains and screens filter caps, IIRC.

Thx - after I sifted through all the info scattered throughout this forum I finally came across the layout and saw the .05u. It's a jungle out there........... :wink:

Nik's kit has been out for a while, and while I can't comment on the tone, the historical accuracy isn't exactly spot-on. But most people are real happy dealing with Nik, so if a dead-on physical replica isn't a necessity then it may be a good choice for budget-conscious guys.
