I swear by the Kommbucha tea though, I take Noni juice/antioxidant and also aloe-vera daily.
Small snacks throughout the day would be a good idea.
Best wishes

Not a good idea at all, this will get his condition worse, he needs to eat a little many times a day, high proteins, like almong, nuts (ones with the good fat in them), etc and the good corbon hydrates (not starch here).

And VG try to stay away from all the artificiel sugars, aspartame, nutra sweet, etc.. those will send a fasle sugar signal to your pancrease and it will shoot some insulin for nothing in your system making you feel even worse by dropping your blood sugar even lower...

Yeah, I got me a couple of those. You wanna have the energy to crank that '59 up to about 7 or 8! You won't want to put the guitar down.

Get some rest, take time off and take care of yourself. Something I had to learn the hard way.

Take Care George

Post by Layboomo » Mon Aug 18, 2008 5:15 pm

I haven't been here in a while but I read this thread and I wish you the best George! You're body is telling you something....please don't ignore it. I'm not trying to scare you(well maybe a little),but my uncle didn't know he was a diabetic until he went into shock and was in a diabetic coma and almost died! He has struggled with the illness since that happened to him@ only 19 years old. Take care be well and BEST WISHES on finding out whats going on....it can be tricky(and very frustrating) getting the right diagnosis with these things. My wife is experiencing some similar issues although not as dramatic...still scary!
Good luck and positive vibes dude!

hope you get those health problems sorted George, it's something we take for granted until your body knocks you on your arse. I should know, I'm posting this from my hospital bed and haven't walked for four weeks now. my own experience is a life-changer, the important things have really been put into perspective - health, family, good friends.

sorry for the mini-hijack, I'm just really emotional lately and a changed person (for the better).

Wow! By all means take care.

I've found that I require a large breakfast with several different types of foods to really maintain my glucose level. Also a snack between breakfast and lunch. Way more food than I'm accustomed to eating early in the day.

Lately, I feel about 80-90% healthy. And I haven't had to go lay down in a while. So I'm making progress.
