BOYCOTT UPS!!!

Post by flemingmras » Tue Nov 08, 2005 12:42 pm

Those motherfuckers have drawn their last fuckin' straw with me!!!

I ordered an amp head case from George on the 1st. George is a VERY prompt shipper...most orders go out the same day unless you order after his driver has already been there. Then they go out the next day. He sent UPS the shipping info on the 1st and his driver picked up the package on the 2nd.

I kept checking the tracking info and the tracking info never was updated...it just said Billing/Shipping Information Received...up until yesterday. Now all of a sudden it says "Origin Scan" in Flint MI!

So I emailed George, which he confirmed that he was 100% sure that it went out on the 2nd. HOW THE FUCK DOES UPS LOSE TRACK OF A FUCKING PACKAGE THAT IS AS BIG AS AN AMP HEAD CASE!!!???

Then I call them and they're like "Well it says here we received the package yesterday" and I'm like "WELL NO FUCKIN' SHIT BUT THAT'S NOT WHAT HAPPENED!!!" And they're basically telling me tuff shit there's nothing they can fuckin' do!

Every fuckin' time I've ever used UPS I have nothing but fucking problems with them. FedEx? Hell they're here on the day of scheduled delivery before I even wake up! UPS? They get here when they fuckin' feel like it, and if your driver feels like getting off work early they reschedule your fuckin' delivery!

So boycott UPS! They fuckin' suck!

UPS does suck. I shipped a Fender Strat back to Musicians Friend 2 years ago and it never arrived, found out later that the driver stole it. Luckly I had purchased insurance on it and was refunded the purchase price (another 6 week delay). I hear DHL is just as bad. FEDEX no problems.

Yeah, I have a lot of nightmares too. FEDEX has been way better for large items. UPS has F'ed up more speaker cabs than I care to mention.

I don't even bother making a claim on them anymore. The last one I had insured for $900 took me 6 weeks to get $5 credited to my account.
It cost me $150 to have the cab repaired.

Now I just overpack the shit out of them and hope for the best.

I also like how I ship things with my account and then a week later I get an invoice for the extra charges. Bullshit.

Remember I told that when I got my first amp?!! Used to fly (as a pilot) for Fedex here out of Montreal and saw things not very reassuring, employees either from UPS, Fedex or BozoAircargo ( are all the same) will kick the shit out of the stuff, saw a guy played soccer with a round shape box with a fragile sticker on it, so be very carefull, pack the shit out of your stuff and hope for the best, George I'm getting that purple cab as soon as my guy pay me (suppose to pay me tonight...) ok!!?

I sold a nice Martin OM type acoustic on eBay a couple of years back. UPS caved the top in during shipping, and I packed that sucker to be bullet proof, ABS case inside foam, inside 1 box, then foam , inside a another box. It took them 7 months to pay me the $1200 so I could pay my buyer. I don't understand why people use UPS? Fedex is way cheaper, like $30 to ship a MArshall instead of $65...plus as was mentioned above, FedEx is TIMELY and PROFESSIONAL. UPS is always like "eh go f*** yourself". How come Fedex can get somewhere in 2-3 days, but it takes UPS 5-6?

UPS must first take every load to a Mafia crime famliy. Then what's left over, goes to the gorrilla cage at the zoo, for the Samsonite traetment. The must have a guy there, who's sole job is to spike my trannys, like he's TO on the Eagles.
Been getting bent ears on the last couple shippments of trannys.

BTW. That was my cab, that George was talking about.
What a guy, he ate the repair cost. That sucks that
UPS only reimbursed $5.

For me to not support a union company is really hard to do, as
a fellow teamster who has seen unions shrink,
disappear, or go bankrupt. I just can't afford to use UPS anymore.
Not if they're gonna wreck all my shit.
My loyalty only goes so far.

I am actualy surprised at the amount of bs people have with ups. Ive sent and received at least a few hundred things in my life and Ive only ever had one real problem. That problem did end up really really badly though but that was a single driver doing something f'd up. I guess thats all it takes.
