Wow...I can't believe how much the possibility of losing this site was affecting me the last few days.

Here's to George and Metro... :toast:

So glad to see you back up George! I lurk the hell outta this forum, learning stuff, or attempting to learn some stuff. Figured it was about time I made an account, if only for the purpose of expressing my joy of seeing the site back up and running. :D

Just echo what everyone else has said. This is a one of kind place for information and civility. We did have some "fun" on Rigtalk but geez the venom out there is amazing.

Thanks again George for everything. I believe I actually played more guitar over the last week than usual.

What a debt we owe to George for all that he does to keep this going. Thanks to his vision, drive, and passion we have a great info resource and a comfortable place to ask questions and exchange opinions. If any of you have the means and have not done so, say thanks by ordering one of his great products.

8) Thanks for your work, George. I did´nt realise how much I missed the Metro Forum before I had a Marshall problem, that I knew someone here had solved, and there was nothing there.. This really is an incredible resource. Thanks for keeping it going.

Still tweaking some things, pruning some things. Found some corrupted files. Might actually lose all uploads to date, which will be terrible. I hate to lose all the pics and diagrams posted over the years. But, I'm afraid this is a real possibility. Corrupt files may indicate infected files and I can't take that risk. It's very likely that the attack which took us down was initiated from an upload.

This is why members need their own photo hosting accounts, and you need to stop hosting any pics. The files/pics/diagrams can have imbedded trojan horses/malware that you don't know about until they're unzipped/unpacked and expanded.

George, you can't host files for members, it's site suicide.
