Hammond (Traynor) Output Transformer

Post by marlin » Sun Jun 07, 2009 8:32 am

Hello!

I have a YBA-1 long head amp that is fitted with a OT (A1323) like this:

The earlier YBA-1 seems to have a different transfomer, the A1338 if I have read the schematics right. Any opinions on this? Thinking about converting it to jtm45/bassman.

I have a 1970 YBA-1 that I am converting to a JMP 50. And this exact output transformer is vibrating like crazy. Even before the conversion it was vibrating. I have no opinions on the transformer, but it does sound good. I just can't stand the buzz.
