100w 2203 PT help. Attention SDM!!!

Post by strangeways » Fri Jan 20, 2012 2:30 am

Hey all,

Wondering if anyone can help me out.

I decided to build a 2203 out of spare parts i've acquired over the years and have a question regarding my PT wiring. I picked up a power and output set from a Mojave Peacemaker. I am using a 100w OT from a marshall 800, so wiring that should be easy enough. The PT, on the other hand, has me stumped.

I've been following SDM's layout and all seems easy enough, but i don't see where the b+ CT on the PT is. The Peacemaker uses a Merc Mag model specifically made for Mojave, so they can't give out info. I've written Mojave and no reply. Looks like filament and bias ground are tied together and grounded on the few gut shots i could find on this forum. In the SDM layouts and Marshall schematics the b+ ct goes between the 2 50x50uf mains filtering. There is nothing on this PT indicating a separate CT for b+.

Any ideas on how this should be wired?

Here's a pic. From left to right
Top-
Lug 1-0v
Lug 2-100v
Lug 3-120v
Lug 4-0v
Lug 5-120v
Lug 6- (says fil/measures 3.25ac)
Lug 7- measures 0v/tied to bottom lug 4 to ground
Lug 8- 3.25ac
Bottom-
Lug 1- 115acv to ground ( says b+)
Lug 2- 195acv to ground
Lug 3- 85vac to ground ( says bias)
Lug 4- 0v tied to top lug 7

I am getting 6.5vac between lugs 6 and 8 on top row ( fil) and 335vac between lugs 1 and 2 on bottom row.

Any ideas?

D.
