No numbers on Transformers in this '71 Superlead

Post by Mynameisfritz » Tue Jan 31, 2012 3:03 pm

Hey guys,

these transformers in this '71 Superlead have no numbers or stickers on it. The guy who owns it since 30 years confirms that he himself never replaced them - although the written 'ALT' mark on the OT may suggest that they had been replaced one time. On the other hand I took a look at the Amp Archives and there seem to be some of those unnumbered trannies in some early seventies Superleads too. Is there any way to identify them?

Actually when this was mentioned I wanted to see the underneath for wire color scheme and possible oddities. Curiosity I guess...

I just opened up my '79 2203 and it has exactly the same trafo's in it, except that mine has Philips-headed bolts to hold the side covers.

There are a small stickers on mine which read: C2668 and T4074
