'69 Super lead PLEXI choke C1999 repair?

Hi!

New member here - great forum!!

I have a '69 super lead plexi of which the choke measures low:
7,3 ohm (+/-100 ohm would be normal) and 0,455H (+/- 3,3H is expected, however this varies with current and frequency).
But at least the low resistance is way out, which leads me to believe that a great portion of the windings are shorted.
However the choke (original C1999) doesn't look physically damaged.

The amp does have a bit of ghost notes and perhaps lacks a bit of solid low end, but all in all sounds pretty good and isn't so much different sounding from my '71 super lead.
But I'd like to make it 'the best' possible and would like to repair that choke.
A replacement is an option (I have suitable candidates lying around) but a good repair (for originality's sake!) is preferable!

The choke should measure 100 ohms while installed in the amp.
