Help - old output transformer

Post by Shay » Wed Jul 10, 2013 4:39 pm

Hey there,
Been building pedals for a while, and I'm about to begin my first tube amp project. I have an old amp I'm going to use (chasis, transformers hopefully, tubes).
The amp used to power 4 ecc83 and 2 EL34. So I'm going to build a marshall 1987/1986.
I've checked the PT for voltages and it seems fine.

My question is: What's going on here?
1. the two coiled white wires go out to the output jack, one of them is the ground.
2. The grey and yellow wires are coming from two EL34 (they connect on both sides, so how do I define primary/secondary side?).
3. white/blue and brown coming from caps connected to each EL34.

this configuration supposedly gives 4 ohms.
Could someone please simplify a bit?
Thank you very much.
