help with choosing pt for jtm45+ build

Post by danwelsh » Wed Oct 01, 2014 7:09 pm

Hi. I'm new to this forum......I'm looking for some help with pt choices for my jtm45+ build......I would like to use the dagnall 4192 pt from marstran but am unsure of the difference between that one and the pt that tubedepot offers for the jtm45 build. I emailed tubedepot and received a reply that I could use the dagnall 4192 328-0-328 as long as the specs were appropriate and I made the necessary adjustments. ......could someone please enlighten me on this and tell me if these pt are the same? Thanks for any help on this as I'm new to amp building and want to do everything correctly.

Hi, the correct PT for a JTM45 build is a 1202-55. U can get the Metro Amp spec PT thru Heyboer (see Metroamp store), or u can get thru Marstran. The Marstran PT runs slightly higher B+ than the Metroamp PT, IIRC. I believe from memory that mine is pretty well right on 440VDC. Hope this helps
