Correct Replacement OT for 72' Super Lead

Post by guitarjesus » Sun Nov 06, 2016 4:30 pm

Guys, I'm new here. I've got a 72' Super Lead in my garage that 10 years ago blew up a filter cap on me, and the output transformer is bad.

What is the correct period correct replica for these era amps? It's a stand up Dagnall, not a laydown Drake.

I've heard good things about Mercury, but I see George sells a c1998, but from what I've read they weren't in use anymore by 72' and had switched to the c2668?

Correct me if Im wrong, but I loved the tone before it blew, and I don't want to drastically alter it.
