100V tap
There is no need to bring the 100V tap out anymore, you can just bury it under the wrap. The 4 ohm tap can be brought out as it is already in there due to the series winding of the secondary. Makes for a more usable OT.

After all the help Flames have given me, I feeel bad I didn't see this thread earlier. Looks like you got the info though. I'm gonna use it too.
I haven't installed either of my 2" OTs yet.
I have one of each.. JTM 45/100 OT and a 10000 OT
Want me to take some pics?
Also my 1.5s is are both standard colors.
Just like in my layout.
All this Black Flag talk has tempted to use Dual jumpered 32f&T for screens, and run the jumpers to a dual pole switch that will take me from 16 to 32.
I realy think that this 2" Ot is going to be killer for getting thick humbucker like tone out of single coils. I heard it before. it's a trip.
The guy was playing VH tunes through a stock 80's strat trhough one of his 10000, and was nailing it...Through single coils
So maybe to some it might seem too bassy with a humbucker.
My thinking is if it can do EVH tone with a single coils, then I bet it can get a great Blackmoore thick strat tone which is usually associated with Major PIGS.

It was awangotango's OT originally, he was trying different OT's with EL34's. He liked George's Dagnall clone better. For his style and ears!!!5150loveeddie wrote:Flames! Here's a pic of the (2) 2" Drakes Chris makes.
I actually forgot which was which..
I'll have to double check, but I think the one on the left is the EL 34 version.

If the primaries werent right in any way, youd know! Ive had them every way possible. But go to marstran.com and then the tech section to figure out the secondaries if you want to be totaly sure. He has you put 1V on the primary and measure the secondary (or vice vers I forget) but you can substitute that for the 3.15v form the heaters. You leave the amp on standby and connect the OT to one side of the heaters and you can measure all the leads and see which is which.
