Guitar pots resource

Post by Metal Handles » Sun Mar 10, 2013 6:26 pm

Howdy fellers......
Where is everybody ordering their pots these days??
I'm looking for the 250 and 500K pots for Fender and Gibson style re-wire projects.
The high quality brass post CTS kind.
I'm doing my own "RS Guitar Works" type premium upgrade installations.
Also the Switchcraft 1/4" jacks for the inputs, cloth covered wire, etc.

I'm thinking that my usual supplier is going up a little too much these days.
Thanks in advance!!!!

They aren't cheap, but the Retrospec True Vintage pots have the best taper of any new pot I've heard.

It's a CTS made pot.

Rgorke: I'm checking Mouser as soon as I finish this post.

George: I guess the only source is through Retrospec?

Thanks for the replies!

Two very reliable stores I used to, just take a look here for instance:
http://www.specialtyguitars.com/electro ... tches.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
or:
http://www.guitarelectronics.com/produc ... r-Pot.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Actually, I highly prefer these pots:

Did J: Thanks for the links. Some interesting looking stuff in there.
I can see why you like those Bare Knuckle pots. I've always wanted to hear their pickups too.
You wouldn't happen to have some would you?
Thanks again!
