With Warmoth, for some reason, they tend to get the 'standard thin' shape THINNER on the Vintage/Modern and a bit fatter on the Pro Construction. I think the way the rod (as well as the type) has something to do with this. Obviously, unless your going with a Floyd Rose, the Vintage/Modern is what I'd reccomend

So you think the vintage modern is thin enough. They also have the wizard which is thinner. Wish I could check them out first.

Mine is the standard Thin on PRO construction, and it's very thin... No very good to my big hands really...

Jeremy, if you like a real thin neck, then just order the 'standard thin' shape in the construction you want ('Pro' or 'Vintage Modern'). You can sand the backof the neck yourself, with a few different grits of sandpaper. That way, you can literally FEEL your way to perfection

I've built two Warmoth guitars, one a regular Strat (but with a humbucker at the bridge) and the other a Super-Strat (Soloist body). Both have stainless steel frets. I love 'em and and will never buy a production guitar ever again. I want to build a Tele from a Warmoth body & neck.

I like the Standard-Thin neck, as I have small hands and can't stand a neck that feels like a baseball bat.

Their "Wizard" profile however is too thin for me.

So i think I am gonna try a thin Standard neck with stainless steel frets. Rosewood on maple.

I think Warmoth has the most handsome looking CBS style headstock out there. They won't put it on just any neck though, unless they changed their tune in the past ten years. Yep, you can really get a nice selection of woods from Warmoth, but I think their strat bodies are hideous looking. I used to just buy their routed body blanks and cut my own strats. Musikraft and Kne have the best shaped strats these days.

So on the radius, is a 10 to 16 radius flat. Anyone good at explaining this?

You have a 10 radius on the first fret and 16 on the 12 fret... It's nice.

Well Waynes (Charvel) son said Ed's VH1 neck was speced out in his dads shop way back. He told me it was a straight '12 radius (ala Gibson). I REALLY, REALLY like Warmoths 10 to 16 compound radius. It is just as Carbia described .

I also agree with Strat78, that Azusa Strat body shape is just TOTALLY the coolest take on a strat body style as I've ever seen. Its just fricken sleek, sullen and sexy. I could just stand'em up and stare at them

thanks for the feedback guys. The neck i like the best has a 12" radius.

Not exactly. It's 10" at the 1st fret, around 12" at the 12th fret, and 16" at the last fret.

I just ordered a warmoth pro, maple, 10-16" radius, 1605 frets, wizard back, nitro, tuners.
Cost about $350 plus shipping. Gotta wait 8-10 weeks though, that's gonna be tough.
