1Hum 2Vol

Post by JimiJames » Wed Sep 12, 2012 10:57 am

How's this look?
Do I need to tie in separately with the "?" wire or straight to the jack like the south vol.
I should still have the humbucker effect, yes ! I'm assuming it's O.K. because I need it to bleed ! :shred:
and... does the ground wire that connects the 2 pots need to be there and /or will it cause a ground loop or extra noise ?

yea.. i saw dat term ... didn't know what it was.
Same thing huh ?
I'd like to try this.

Is this the only way to wire this ?
I like that you can have diff value pots (for brightness), but gotta' have the 300k for the main -(screw or south bobbin.)

So... wait
Based on the Seymour Duncan website link; the North start/finish & South start/finish (unassumingly) appear to
keep it a humbucker instead of having control of two individual coils ?
Do I understand that correctly ?

the seymour is always in humbucking, whilst raising or lowering the out put of only 1 coil....
so 1 pot would be the master volume so to speak while the other only controls output of one coil.....hmmm
seems you are wanting control over both coils indvidualy....maybe this would be closer to what you are looking to do...

Yep, that makes sense. This is different from the spin-a-split...
Have to figure out the selector switch and that's the ticket. If it's outta' phase used with the neck,
I'll just flip the wires to the respective coil. Thanks Dean.Image
