Pickup wiring question.

Post by jnew » Sat Feb 16, 2013 2:30 am

Would I need to re-orient any magnets to make a DiMarzio Super Distortion work with a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder? I don't know if north and south orientations make a difference whether or not they would be in phase when used together. Help? :what:

I can't recall how dimarzio's are oriented exactly, but I don't remember having any issues other than having to wire one or the other differently to normal.

However, I normally wire Seymours with the green as hot, and the black as ground, as when I coil split, I like my OUTER coils to be the ones working. Inner coils on their own just sound so "blah" to me.

Perhaps this link might help if you do have issues...

So I like purple, okay!!!!!!
